Friday Favorites: Blend and Go

Moving into your first apartment is overwhelming! Since this is both mine and my fiance's first apartment we don't have much of our own household stuff. We have been slowly accumulating stuff over the last few months in hopes that when we move into our place we will have everything we need. One thing that was on our list was a blender so my fiance grabbed the Oster Blend N Go when he was at our local grocery store a few months ago. I absolutely love it! It reminds me of the magic bullet. My mom has seen me use it quite a few times and decided to pick herself up one as well, throwing away her magic bullet set that was on its last leg.

I promise you this is not an ad or sponsored post.
I just think this is a great product that I had never seen or heard of until my fiance purchased it. It comes in a ton of fun colors. We chose red because it matches our theme! If you are into nutrition or fitness I have a feeling you will like this little blender.

It comes with a base (the blender) and a bottle with two different 'lids'. One lid is the drinking lid and the other is a blade 'lid'. Once you fill up the bottle with your smoothie ingredients you screw on the blade lid and then place the lid in the top of the blender when you push down the blade starts spinning. It is a quick process and I find all the pieces easy to clean which is a must have for me. I don't like having kitchen appliances that I rarely use because I dread the cleaning process (I'm looking at your waffle iron). It is also pretty compact in size so it doesn't take up too much storage space.

Personally I use my Blend n Go to make protein shakes before or after my workouts. It could also be used for fruit smoothies and iced coffee drinks. The bottle can even be used just to hold water throughout the day as well.

Do you make smoothies or protein shakes often? Do you have a favorite on the go style blender?
